Who can apply for Super Visa Canada

Canada grants many types of Visas to those who want to visit or live in Canada on Permanent and Temporary Basis. These include student visa, Express entry visa, visitor visa, PNPs etc. All visa types have their specific requirements and conditions to visit Canada.

For visiting Canada, mainly a tourist visa is required. Mostly the duration of the visa is upto 6 months. You need to return before that to your home country. A 10 year Multiple entry visitor visa also has the stay period of upto six months for each entry.

The super visa is a special multi entry visa up to the period of 10 years to invite your parents and grandparents to come and stay with you for 5 years at a time.

In Multi Entry visa the stay period for a single visit is upto six months while in Super Visa, the stay period for a single entry is upto 5 years. This is the main difference between a Visitor visa and Super Visa.

The stay period is increased from 4 July 2022. When you enter Canada the border service officer will confirm your stay. To get a Super Visa you must meet all the requirements.

Also the citizens of visa exempt countries like the United Kingdom, United States, France are eligible for a super visa.

The Super Visa program mainly shows the Canadian Government’s thoughts on Families and their reunions.
